We got some good things going on.
I’m very proud and excited to announce… (yeah that’s right, proud and excited) Baje one of Junk Science started a new record label. It’s called MODERN SHARK. You should check out the website (which I happened to design). I’m proud to be a part of it all.

While you’re there be sure to pick up the MODERN SHARK MUSIC SAMPLER featuring brand new music from JUNK SCIENCE, SERENGETI, J. HOWELLS WERTHMAN, COOL CALM PETE, TONE TANK and SCOTT THOROUGH.

JUNK SCIENCE is getting ready to release their beautiful new album “A MIRACULOUS KIND OF MACHINE” (I got a track on there)… so in order to celebrate we are having an album release party at the THE KNITTING FACTORY, IN BROOKLYN, don’t go to Manhattan cause we won’t be there and you will find yourself sad and lonely on Leonard St.). FRI MAY 28th!
There will be performances from:
JUNK SCIENCE
TONE TANK AND SCOTT THOROUGH
DAS RACIST
CAVALIER
Every person that comes through the door will receive their own copy of the new album!

Kool A.D. from Das Racist.
Directed by my man CF EDLEY.
Shot on a RCA BW004 consumer VHS camera, on location in a dirty room in Bushwick sometime in 2009.

The other day I was finally floored by the three straight weeks of rain that we’ve had over here in this part of the world. I refused to get out of bed or do anything productive. I had one of those days where I layed up and watched movies all day. It was kind of like a union strike against God.
That day I watched “Watermelon Man” for the first time… and was like “Yo people need to see this movie.” I realize that a lot of people have seen it. Once realizing that, I needed to find a way to post something both people who’ve seen it and people who haven’t seen it could benefit from. So I ran downstairs and had my man Kray help me get the soundtrack off the internets. I’m putting my favorite 2 joints up for download:
‘Love, That’s America’ and ‘Soul’d on You’,
both of which are sang by Melvin Van Peebles himself. He also directed, co-produced and played the main character in it. My kind of guy.
I’ve been listening to this for a good week now. I even slow danced with my lady to it.
And you can also hear “Love, That’s America” on this week’s episode of Chances with Wolves.
Which is a banger. You can listen to Chances on our WOLFBOX found at the top of the page or @ www.chanceswithwolves.com
And see the movie if you haven’t already seen it.
Check out what he say’s about why he doesn’t like new Rock-N-Roll and how he hopes the same thing doesn’t happen to rap.
